Today I attended a 1 hour webinar by Robert Plank. Robert is an online marketing genius who really takes the BS out of the online marketing hype. He provides so much valuable information in just the free webinar that I can’t resist joining. What I especially like is his engaging manner and that he really outlines how you can get your information online and making money. If you do nothing else, sign up to his email list and try to get on his next webinar, you won't be sorry.

In the case of full discloser I personally have subscribed to several of his programs. I have found the Membership program, Webinar Crusher program and Double Agent Marketing program to be invaluable and because a client becomes a member for life after the program is finished I can keep going back and review what I might have forgotten or if I need a kick in the pants.

So what keeps me going back…well its simple, Robert and his business partner Lance Tamashiro offer something that very few online courses offer… MORE! They give great tools to build your business and train you in a simple and easy to replicate way. They don't lock you into heavy payments and if you don't like what you get after the first 30 days you get your money back. But more importantly they really do offer their clients more value than is expected and subscribe to the principal of over-delivering which is why I have never been disappointed.

I guess at the end of the day I can choose to spend my hard earned money with a variety of providers, but with Robert and Lance I have found true value and feel that I just have to sing their praises. So Robert, if you see this review, I want to thank you and Lance for your wonderful programs and I encourage anyone interested to check them out.

Jumping over content roadblocks!

Overcoming Content Roadblocks

I am a big fan of original content and of course when engaged in a business that you love it is important to let your clients know that you actually know what you are talking about. But sometimes coming up with original content is like bashing your head against the wall. It is at those times that you need to look to the people you know like and trust and either quote their writings or if there is a personal relationship ask them to contribute content to your newsletter. You would be amazed how many people will be happy to reciprocate the favor and ask you to give back.

So where can you go to find great content?

Look to your industry papers.
If you are a photographer you probably have an organization that periodically puts out information. Realtors could look to their organizations monthly newsletters for ideas. When you find an idea or article you like don't forget to copy the information or URL and save it in a descriptive folder, so when you are looking for something you have an article to draw on. This is also helpful if you are looking for an article to provide a client and make that special personal connection.

Look to complimentary industries
Most industries work in compliment or are supported closely by other industries. If we look at the previous example of the photographer maybe the wedding industry would have articles that compliment a newsletter, or a fashion stylist. In real estate obvious resources would be the mortgage industry, cleaning services or services that support the home propping industry.

Online Resources
If you want some resources to draw from the following are article databases that often have industry related articles in potentially your current industry but you should also be able to find complimentary industry articles. You need to make sure you give the writer credit and a link back to their article and possibly their website. Two such sites that are helpful are http://www.ezinearticles.com and http://www.goarticles.com.

Copywriter
Some people copywrite in a variety of industries. You can find some great copywriters in a number of online resource companies one such company is http://www.elance.com and if you want some help with writing content it is possible to find great resources that way as well.

I think the most important thing to remember is that you don't have to write a ton of personal content, although you might want to. What is more important to your clients is that you are providing them with valuable information that they want to continue to receive from you.
What's your next move, after having read this post?
